Hello, Friends...

Welcome to Joey's Arcade, the online chronicle of my obsession with the collecting, repairing, and preservation of the classic arcade games of my youth.

Whether seen as extremely cool or downright idiotic by people on the outside, arcade collecting has been one of the most personally rewarding hobbies I've ever been a part of. As arcades continue to close down across the country (becoming extinct to home console gaming), it's great to be able to play the games that meant so much to me as a kid in the 80's, and even as an adult in the 90's. Throw in some family and friends, and the experience is like some type of time-warp; a direct link back to the glory days of the arcades when gaming was a highly social and competitive past-time.
